Accessibility Policy

Go Banana! Marketing Inc.

02/04/2026

Go Banana! Marketing Inc. (‘Go Banana!,’ ‘we,’ ‘us,’ or ‘our’) is committed to providing an accessible website and digital experience for all visitors, including persons with disabilities. As a Toronto-based marketing and design agency, we believe that empathy and inclusivity are foundational to everything we do. This Accessibility Policy outlines our commitment to meeting and exceeding the accessibility standards required under applicable Ontario, Canadian federal, and international frameworks for our website https://www.gobanana.net/ (the “Site”).

1. Guiding Principles

Our accessibility efforts are guided by the following principles, drawn from the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA):

(a)   Dignity: persons with disabilities are treated as valued individuals deserving of the same quality of service as all others.

(b)   Independence: wherever possible, persons with disabilities are able to access our site and services on their own, without requiring assistance.

(c)   Integration: persons with disabilities are able to access the same content and services, in the same place and in a similar manner, as all other visitors.

(d)   Equal Opportunity: persons with disabilities have an equal opportunity to benefit from our Website and digital content.

2. Applicable Legislation and Standards

2.1 Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA)

The AODA is Ontario’s landmark accessibility legislation, enacted in 2005, which requires organizations in the public and private sectors to identify, remove, and prevent barriers for persons with disabilities. The AODA establishes accessibility standards in five key areas: customer service, information and communications, employment, transportation, and the design of public spaces. Under the AODA’s Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (Ontario Regulation 191/11), organizations must ensure that their websites and web content conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at Level AA, with two exceptions regarding live captions (WCAG 1.2.4) and pre-recorded audio descriptions (WCAG 1.2.5). The AODA applies to all Ontario-based organizations with one or more employees.

2.2 Ontario Human Rights Code

The Ontario Human Rights Code protects persons with disabilities from discrimination and ensures the right to equal treatment with respect to services, goods, and facilities. Go Banana! recognizes and upholds these protections in how we design, maintain, and deliver our digital content.

2.3 Accessible Canada Act (ACA)

The Accessible Canada Act (S.C. 2019, c. 10) was adopted with the goal of creating a barrier-free Canada by 2040. While the ACA’s mandatory digital accessibility regulations (the Digital Technologies Accessibility Regulations, registered December 5, 2025) currently apply to federally regulated entities, Go Banana! voluntarily monitors developments under this federal framework, including the adoption of the CAN/ASC-EN 301 549 standard, to ensure our practices remain aligned with evolving national accessibility expectations.

2.4 Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)

The WCAG are internationally recognized standards developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) for making web content accessible to persons with disabilities.

2.5 Target Conformance Level

Go Banana! Marketing Inc. is committed to meeting WCAG 2.0 Level AA conformance, as mandated by the AODA. In addition, we are actively working toward alignment with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and monitoring WCAG 2.2 to future-proof our accessibility efforts and align with the direction of Canada’s federal accessibility standards.

3. Accessible Website Design and Content

3.1 Design Principles

Our site is designed with accessibility as a core consideration. We strive to ensure that our design and content practices include:

•        Text Alternatives: meaningful alt text for all images, illustrations, and non-text content, ensuring that screen readers and assistive technologies can convey the purpose of visual elements.

•        Colour Contrast: sufficient colour contrast ratios between text and background, meeting or exceeding the WCAG 2.0 AA minimum of 4.5:1 for standard text and 3:1 for large text.

•        Keyboard Navigation: full operability of all interactive elements, including navigation menus, links, buttons, and forms, using a keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse or pointing device.

•        Resizable Text: text that can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.

•        Semantic HTML: proper use of heading structures, landmarks, labels, lists, and other semantic HTML elements to provide meaningful structure for assistive technologies.

•        Form Accessibility: clearly labelled form fields, descriptive error messages, and instructions associated with our Contact Us form to ensure that all users can submit inquiries effectively.

•        Consistent Navigation: predictable, consistent navigation patterns across all pages of the site.

•        Link Purpose: clear, descriptive link text that communicates the destination or purpose of each link.

3.2 Multimedia Content

Where multimedia content (such as videos or audio) is published on our site or linked platforms, we will endeavour to provide captions, transcripts, and/or audio descriptions where feasible and as required by WCAG Level AA.

4. Third-Party Content and Platforms

4.1 Website Platform

Our site is hosted on Webflow. While we make every effort to ensure that our site meets accessibility standards, certain platform-level features or limitations may affect our ability to achieve full conformance. We actively monitor Webflow’s accessibility capabilities and advocate for improvements where needed.

4.2 Third-Party Integrations

Our site may include embedded content or links to third-party platforms and client sites. Go Banana! does not control the accessibility of these third-party platforms. We encourage these platforms to maintain accessibility standards but cannot guarantee their conformance. Users who experience accessibility barriers on third-party platforms are encouraged to contact those platforms directly.

4.3 Client Work

As a marketing and design agency, Go Banana! is committed to advising our clients on the importance of digital accessibility and, where engaged to do so, designing and building client materials and sites with accessibility in mind, referencing WCAG and AODA standards as appropriate.

5.4 Support Workers

Marketing Inc. will ensure that both persons are permitted to enter the premises (in-person or virtually) together and that the person with a disability is not prevented from having access to the support person while on the premises.

6. Procurement of Accessible Goods and Services

When procuring digital tools, software, platforms, or third-party services for our Website or business operations, Go Banana! Marketing Inc. will incorporate accessibility criteria into the evaluation process. We will give preference to products and services that conform to WCAG Level AA and that are compatible with commonly used assistive technologies.

While Go Banana! Marketing Inc. strives for full WCAG conformance, we acknowledge that certain content or features on our Website may not yet fully meet all Level AA success criteria. Known limitations may include:

•        Third-party embedded content (such as social media widgets or externally hosted video players) whose accessibility is beyond our direct control.

•        Legacy content or documents published before the implementation of this Accessibility Policy that have not yet been remediated.

•        Platform-specific constraints inherent to our Website hosting provider.

7.2 Remediation
